Refilling Adblue or DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) on your own is no rocket science and can help you saving money. We show you how to refill your Volkswagen’s Adblue tank.
- Caution: Never fill Adblue in the diesel tank but only in the Adblue tank!
- Add at least 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of AdBlue, which is 2 refill bottles. Adding a smaller amount is not sufficient.
- When refilling AdBlue, the car must be parked on a level surface, not on an incline or with the wheels on one side up on the curb. If the vehicle is not on level ground, the gauge that shows the fill level may not register the added quantity.
